Free read Abuse of Power 106 T in the course of timePlans were being made by professional people who should know better and should never take advantage of their position to abuse those who are vulnerable and unable to defend themselves because they are told ‘The law is against you’ when actually what is meant is that they in their powerful position are against youW. Well written but frustration and anger overtook any enjoymentI have great respect for this foster mother and her extraordinary insights and intuitive handling of these precious little souls placed in her most capable handsThat said the foster care system in both England and America is so flawed and harmful to the very people it claims to want to help and protect that their entire systems should be completely stopped and redoneI gave a lower rating to this book not because it wasn t beautifully written it was I did it because I was so angry incensed and upset at what was done to those two precious boys their mother and especially their grandparents It truly was criminal how one person with an axe to grind could destroy so many lives And the asinine Judges who can t see the forest for the trees are even worse I was left broken hearted and so frustrated at the end of this sad story

I wish the ending hadn t been so vague

Free read Abuse of Power 106 The children arrived with a lot of kicking and screaming from the eldestterrified of the changes going on in his lifeOne of our jobs as their carers was to minimise change as much as possible until their future was decided by the courts at the final hearingThere was much going on in the background that we were not aware of but would find ou. No Cathy Glass or Casey WatsonThis was a story along the lines of a story Cathy Glass Casey Watson Angela Hart or one of those other authors would write about but this author is not nearly as good a writer She often went off in tangents about unrelated topics her grammar leaves a lot to be desired there are tons of typos in the book and she often either accidentally or on purpose left little cliffhangers or segues at the ends of some of the chapters none of which were ever followed up on The writing was a bit dry as if the author was speaking directly to you and telling you what happened There were no descriptions of scenes or anything like that The story was about Carl and Peter but the stories of other children were also talked about Sometimes it made sense to mention the other children if their stories affected the boys but at times parts of their stories were told for no apparent reason The book was interesting enough that it held my attention although not really a dramatic story by any means It told the author s version of events although I m certain there had to also be another version that we just don t know about There has to be because the motive of the guardian ad litem which was that she s just an evil woman who had to be in control makes no sense to me The author even said she previously worked with the guardian and thought then that she was good for the children she advocated for No I believe there has to be to the story than presented in this book All that being said I still plan on reading the authors other books because they re free as part of Kindle Unlimited and I d also probably still recommend this book to anyone who reads Cathy Glass and the others as long as it s known that this author seems to be an amateur writer
