Is this retelling of the seven voyages of Sinbad gleaned from 1001 Nights a picture book A middle grade book It exists somewhere in between humorously and beautifully illustrated by Rashin The tales of Sinbad tries and tribulations wives and treasure are told in a straightforward manner in the narrative voice I recall from my reading of the origin work Gosh I kept thinking wouldn t you think Sinbad would stay away from Basra Evey time he goes there trouble follows But of course that is the point Sinbad s cleverness and luck always please He was hard on wives though
